I Am Seeking. I Am Striving. I Am in it With All My Heart - Vincent Van Gogh

While I do not share Vincent Van Gogh's artistic talents, I do embrace his philosophical perspective and approach to all things in life. The daughter of a US Naval Officer, my Father, and a God fearing Pentecostal Mother, I learned at a very young age the worth and importance of respect, structure, obedience, and obligation. These life lessons are anchored in certain truths: trust, compassion, integrity, loyalty, courage, humility, and self-respect. The timeless ideologies trademarked in my childhood have become the voice through, which I have the joy of advocating today for our kids, and the guiding principles through which I have the pleasure of leading our organization.

On a personal note, I derive pleasure and enjoyment from my patio garden ~ it's my safe haven ~ a quite place ideal for a quick physical and spiritual respite. Here I also take delight in re-visiting the pages of Medieval Literature and the famed plays and sonnets of the Bard: Shakespeare. Although a recent graduate with my Master's Degree from the University of La Verne's College of Business, I remain an impassioned British Lit major at heart!

I have been blessed with two precious children. My daughter, Heather, is a Peace Officer with the Inland Valley Humane Society, and my son Trevor, former Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne, is now a member of the TN National Guard and now resides with his adorable wife Mara, in Nashville. My children are two of life's most treasured gifts and they will remain my most noble lifetime accomplishment: the art of motherhood, as they both continue to amuse and amaze me…fill my heart with joy!

Heather Lint, Communications & Events Coordinator

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9

Blessings, my name is Heather and I have been with Children's Fund since July 2004. I am a second generation San Bernardino native, and a third generation So Cal native. I received my BA from CSUSB in Education, but after student teaching I realized that education was not the path for me. Instead I entered the wacky world of professional baseball, working in the front offices of the then Anaheim Angels and the Colorado Rockies organizations. My passions in life are God and family (especially my two adorable nephews). In my free time I enjoy reading non-fiction books on astronomy and Christian apologetics. I also enjoy studying new things, traveling, laughing, spending quality time with my family and doing nice things spontaneously to cheer people up and make them feel special and cared for. I am a bit of a science geek; I love physics, astronomy & chemistry, but am also very creative & artistic. I love baseball (Angels & Giants) and enjoy football (Go Packers!)

Jane Nottingham, Senior Events Assistant

We must adjust to ever-changing world, while holding on to our never-changing principles.

Greetings! My name is Jane. I recently joined the staff at Children's Fund in April as the Sr. Events Assistant. I'm very excited to be a part of such an incredible team. My professional career consists of 10 years in the Banking Industry and another 9 years as an Account Manager for a Professional Fiduciary. Prior to joining the Children's Fund team my passion for golf brought me to the P.G.A. of Southern California Golf Club as the Merchandise Coordinator. In 2000 I had the unique opportunity to become the Treasurer for Mike Ramos's Campaign for San Bernardino County District Attorney. I also enjoyed my experience as the Secretary and Special Events Coordinator for Redlands A.Y.S.O.

I enjoy weekend getaways and golfing with my wonderful husband Cecil, a Police Officer with the City of Colton and going to the beach and eating sushi with my fabulous daughter Michelle, a June 2007 CSUSB graduate. Quality family time is an essential part of my life.

De Thomas, Program Assistant

I will look unto the hills from which cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord. -Psalms 121:1-3

Hello! My name is DeDee. I moved from Pasadena to San Bernardino in 1988, and now reside in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. I've had the privilege and joy of being a member of the Children's Fund staff as an Administrative Assistant since January 2006. I have found being a part of the Children's Fund team to be challenging, exciting and very rewarding. I love spending time with my family, which brings me great joy. I enjoy working within the ministry at my church as the church clerk, Sunday school teacher and choir director. I love outdoors, traveling, music, museums, the arts and relaxing at the beach at sunset. And I enjoy every one of my 20 grandchildren, and the time I am able to spend with them.

Laura Vogt, Fiscal Assistant

"The purity of a person's heart can be quickly measured by how they regard animals" - Anonymous

My name is Laura. I have been working for Children's Fund since April 2003. I am a Financial Assistant. I work part-time now but had worked the first several years full-time. My husband and I also own our own Construction Project Management business, which is what I do when I am not at Children's Fund.

I have been married for 11 years to my wonderful husband David. I have a beautiful eight year-old Great Dane named Harle. My husband's and my life completely revolve around her.

I have been living in California for over 5 years now. I am from Upstate NY and miss it very much (except for the winters). Most of my family still lives there and someday I hope to live there again permanently.
